Psychotherapy and Ecotherapy Services
I offer psychotherapy services both online and in-person for adults. My online services are provided using an encrypted video-conferencing platform called Jane App. And, I see clients in-person at my counselling clinic in Houston, BC.
Ecotherapy is one of my other passions, and I am proud to provide ecotherapy to my clients in Northern BC. This means that we would meet at a mutually agreed-upon location and do our therapeutic work outdoors. Given that the weather can be extreme in this part of the world (from blizzards to torrential downpours), nature-based sessions are dependent on safe conditions. Another consideration with outdoor work is the limits to confidentiality. While we are blessed to have many wild spaces in the Northwest, confidentiality of the therapeutic process can not be guaranteed outdoors as we can't control for who we might see in the woods.
Psychotherapy Fees
50 minute session ........ $150.00 plus GST
*80 minute session........ $225.00 plus GST
* For EMDR sessions, I generally recommend that we meet for 90 minutes to allow ample time for processing and integration.
Fees are guided by the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors' Fee Schedule.
Methods of Payment
I accept payment via e-transfer, cheque, or credit card.
Insurance
Receipts are provided upon payment and may be submitted to your extended benefits plan for reimbursement. Please check with your insurance provider to confirm coverage amounts for services with a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC).
I am also a registered Mental Health Provider with the First Nations Health Authority and provide counselling services for the Indian Residential School Resolution Health Support Program. If you'd like to access my services through this program, please let me know before our first session.
Late Arrival, Cancelled and/or Missed Appointments
24 business hours notice must be given for the cancellation of appointments, otherwise, the full fee will be charged. Please note, if you are late for a session, the appointment will end at the scheduled time and the full fee will be charged.
